About the Film: While on vacation in Poland, Bethany (Charli XCX) breaks away from a romantic itinerary planned by her doting boyfriend, Rob (Will Madden), fearing that a marriage proposal is imminent. Reuniting instead with an old friend, Nel (Lena Góra), the two women rekindle a uniquely combustible chemistry over the course of a few days in a chaste but burning trust predicated on sapphic synchronicity and a mutual penchant for poetry. About the Director: Pete Ohs writes, directs, shoots and edits. Ohio born, Pete is a four-time Emmy-Award winner and was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" for 2013. Hailed by Indiewire as “a rising filmmaker well worth the attention,” his most recent features include the Charli XCX-starring international anti-romance ERUPCJA which premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and was acquired for distribution by 1-2 Special and the cult horror-satire THE TRUE BEAUTY OF BEING BITTEN BY A TICK which premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival. His narrative feature directorial debut sci-fi film EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IS FAR AWAY (starring Julia Garner & Joseph Cross) premiered in competition at the 2017 Los Angeles Film Festival, received the U.S. Fiction Cinematography Award, and was acquired by The Orchard. His music videos have been featured in the yearly “Best Of” lists by PITCHFORK— first in 2009 for WAVVES’ “No Hope Kids” and again in 2010 for BEST COAST’S “When I’m With You”.
