The Esquire and Mariemont Theatre present: the 43rd ASBURY SHORT Film Concert!

Asbury Shorts USA, New York City’s longest running short film exhibition and touring showcase, reels into Cincinnati to present their nationally recognized Asbury Short Film Concert. The screening is strongly recommended for ages 16 and way above.

An Asbury short film “concert” combines world renowned shorts from the past with current festival award winners providing a rare opportunity for audiences to see elite, international films on a real cinema screen rather than You Tube, smart phones or computers. Academy Award nominated director Jason Reitman (“JUNO,” “Up in the Air,” “Thank You for Smoking,” “Young Adult”) calls Asbury Shorts: “The best short film show I’ve ever seen.” The fast-paced, highly entertaining showcase features the best in live action comedy, drama and outstanding animation.

Asbury Shorts, founded on Long Island, New York in 1981, has grown into a premier non-competitive exhibition of the world’s best short films. The “Concerts” have been presented at: 
The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Lake Shore Theatre in Chicago, Summer Stage in Central Park, The Director’s Guild Theater in Manhattan, The Garden Theatre in Winter Garden, Florida, The AERO Theatre in Santa Monica, CA, Royal Festival Hall in London, U.K., The Vero Beach Museum of Art in Florida and the Leminske Theater in Berlin, Germany to name just a few of the prestigious venues where audiences have enjoyed these amazing short films
