Synopsis: This early silent blockbuster finds successful husband, father and politician John Schuyler (Edward José) caught in the clutches of the scheming Vampire (Theda Bara), a seductress famous for luring men, using them and leaving them ruined. Taking a business cruise to England without his wife (Mabel Fremier) and daughter, the easily fooled John is targeted by the irresistible Vampire aboard the ship, and soon becomes her willing victim as she spends his money and drives him to drug addiction.
In 2015, the United States Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry, finding it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
